This Notice at Collection explains, at or before the point of collection, the categories of personal information we collect, the purposes for which we use it, whether we "sell" or "share" it for cross‑context behavioral advertising, and how long we retain it. It supplements our Privacy Policy and should be read together with it.
Categories we collect
We collect the following categories of personal information about you when you use the Platform: identifiers and contact information (such as name, email, phone number, address, IP address, and device identifiers); commercial or interest information related to mortgage inquiries (such as purchase/refinance intent, property type, estimated value or loan amount, and self‑reported credit band and income ranges); internet or other electronic network activity information (such as device and browser type, pages viewed, time on page, referring URLs, and cookie/pixel data); geolocation data derived from IP address (approximate city/region); and inferences we draw to tailor content or advertising. We do not request Social Security numbers or full bank/account numbers on our quiz.
Purposes for collection and use
We collect and use personal information to operate the Platform; provide comparisons and route your inquiry to appropriate marketing partners; contact you (ourselves or via partners) about mortgage options you requested, including by phone, SMS, or email where permitted by law and by your choices; perform analytics, measurement, and ad personalization; prevent fraud and abuse; maintain security; and comply with legal obligations.
Whether we “sell” or “share” personal information
For advertising and analytics, we may disclose identifiers, internet activity information, and inferences to our advertising and analytics partners. Some U.S. state laws define those types of disclosures as a “sale” or “sharing.” You can opt out at any time via Your Privacy Choices (Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information) and by adjusting Cookie Preferences. We honor Global Privacy Control (GPC) signals for that browser. We do not knowingly sell or share personal information about consumers under 16.
Retention
We retain personal information only as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described. Typical retention is: identifiers and contact information for up to five years; technical and analytics data for twelve to twenty‑four months; and consent/opt‑out records for at least five years. We may retain information longer as required for legal obligations or to protect our rights.
